HELP Sri Lanka Inc. a Program Partner of
Australian Foundation for the peoples of Asia and the Pacific Ltd
|
HELP Sri Lanka Incorporated was formed after a public meeting held on 5th January 2005 as a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Victoria to support community development projects in Sri Lanka for the victims of the Tsunami tragedy of 26th December 2004.
HELP Sri Lanka Inc. is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation formed in January 2005 in response to the unprecedented tragedy caused by the tsunami. Its sole purpose is to identify key projects within tsunami-affected areas of Sri Lanka and obtain the funding needed to support these worthwhile projects. Since then it has expanded its charter to provide aid to the needy across the island nation.
HELP Sri Lanka aims to create a better quality of life for the thousands of Sri Lankan men, women and children who “had pitifully little but have lost everything…”.
Based in Melbourne, HELP Sri Lanka’s dedicated and caring volunteers have committed their time and energy to help empower disadvantaged communities in Sri Lanka. HELP Sri Lanka abides by a strict code of conduct and applies rigorous investigation into each project undertaken. We have forged links with Non Government Organisations (NGOs) and not-for-profit organisations in Sri Lanka. Once a project is funded and delivered to Sri Lanka, our local representatives maintain an ever vigilant eye to ensure that the project does meet the desired needs, as promised.
HELP Sri Lanka Inc is a non-profit organisation and an accredited fundraiser with Consumer Affairs Victoria with charity status and offers Tax Deductibility to donors through our program partner AFAP – The Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific.
